Our Process

There are three parts to the Design Fresh web design process.

Part 1 - the prep

1) Initital Contact
The initial contact will usually include a telephone call and/or an exchange of emails. We will use this opportunity to establish your core website requirements, timescale limitations and budget availability.

2) Kick Off Meeting
At the kick off meeting we will discuss your existing website & hosting (if applicable), the new website requirements (inc. content and sitemap), agree definitive timescales, review current competition and consider how the website can be promoted.

3) Quotation
A quotation will be provided at the end of the kick off meeting or within 48 hours depending on the complexity of the project. If the quote is accepted a 40% deposit is invoiced and work can commence as soon as this paid.

Part 2 - the build

4) Website Design
The website design concepts will be based on the brief and your favourite website designs. The concepts will be made available for feedback and amendments. Once the necessary design changes have been made and you are happy with the design we will request design sign off so work on the templates can commence.

5) Template Building
Your website design will be built into W3C compliant CSS/XHTML templates. These templates will be validated and tested across a number of web browsers.

All of our websites are tested in Internet Explorer (6, 7 and 8), Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera (other browsers are tested on request).

6) Content Management System Implementation
After the templates have been fully tested they are implemented into the Content Management System (CMS). If you have chosen a static brochure website this step is not required as we will be managing the site content for you.

7) Content
If you have selected a CMS the content will be added by Design Fresh or yourself depending on what is agreed at the kick off meeting. For all static brochure websites Design Fresh will add the content.

8) Testing and Validation
When the website is fully operational a second round of validation and testing will take place. This will detect and resolve any issues caused by the CMS and/or content.

Part 3 - the finale

9) Final Meeting and Training
Upon completion of the site build a final meeting and training session will be scheduled. In this meeting we will discuss any outstanding issues and provide training on how to manage the site content. We also will agree a date to make the new website live.

10) Site Live
After any amendments from the Final Meeting have been completed the site will be made live. Following the successful launch of the site a final invoice will be issued for the remaining 60% of the website cost.

Pay Per Click or Email Marketing Campaigns can be arranged to coincide with the site launch.
